Here's Why PUBG Ban Is Unlikely To Be Revoked Soon Despite China's Tencent Being Removed From India Ops

A source close to the government has revealed that the PM Narendra Modi-led Union government is currently in no mood to bring back PUBG for its avid gamers.

Earlier this month, PUBG joined the list of Chinese-origin mobile applications to be banned by the Indian government over ongoing tensions with China. In a damage control move, PUBG Corp, the South Korean firm unit, announced that it has withdrawn Tencent Games' involvement in India operations. However, the development is unlikely to help the viral app for now as concerns include the violent nature of the game which has been complained about earlier. The company has also been looking for a partnership with Jio, the digital unit of Reliance Industries, to bring back the game for its massive Indian userbase. However, no agreement has been reached yet and Reliance is yet to respond to questions over the same. WATCH | PUBG In Talks With Reliance Jio For India Partnership: Report
