Bengal BJP Leader Rakesh Singh, Two Sons Arrested In Pamela Goswami Drugs Case - Know Entire Controversy
Bharatiya Janata Party youth-wing leader Pamela Goswami, arrested for allegedly possessing 76 gm of heroin, had named Rakesh Singh in the drugs case. Singh has been taken to the local police station for questioning. Along with Singh, his two sons have also been held by Kolkata police for allegedly disrupting police officials from discharging their duties.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) West Bengal state committee member Rakesh Singh has been arrested in connection with the Pamela Goswami drugs case. Kolkata police reportedly held him from Galsi in Purba Bardhaman district on Tuesday when he was apparently trying to flee West Bengal. ALSO READ | Who Is Pamela Goswami? According to the media reports, Singh has been taken to the local police station for questioning. Along with Singh, his two sons have also been held by Kolkata police for allegedly disrupting police officials from discharging their duties.

Pamela Goswami was produced before court last week where she said that Police should arrest BJP Bengal Chief Kailash Vijayvargiya's close aide Rakesh Singh in the case.
Pamela Goswami Drug Case:
Bharatiya Janata Party youth-wing leader Pamela Goswami along with her associate Prabir Dey were arrested with 100 grams of cocaine worth Rs 10 lakh from New Alipore in Kolkata. The General Secretary of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), Pamela and Prabir Kumar Dey were detained while they were moving in a car.
Acting on a tip-off, New Alipore police station conducted an operation wherein they spotted a car in front of Parameswari Bhawan of 92/93 NR Avenue, Block-B, New Alipore. On searching, approximately 90 grams of narcotic material (suspected cocaine) worth approximately Rs 10 lakhs was found.
A case has been registered under sections 21(b)/29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
A day after her arrest on February 19, Pamela alleged that Rakesh Singh hatched a conspiracy to frame her and demanded A CID probe in the case.

Trap by TMC to defame BJP: Rakesh Singh
After Pamela accused Rakesh Singh, the BJP leader in a conversation with ABP News said that he has no involvement with her or in the case and he will quit politics if he is found guilty. Rakesh Singh also said that it is a trap by TMC to defame BJP as he was not in contact with Pamela for past 2 years. He said that there are chances that she may falsely name other BJP leaders but we are all ready to face it if required as we are not involved in such activities.
