The Kerala Governor alleged that all appointments in the state-run universities are illegal

Kerala Governor Arif Mohammad Khan Tuesday said that he would resign from his post if proven that he had interfered in government functioning. While asserting that the job to run universities is with Chancellor, he said, "Universities have become fiefdoms of the party cadre and their relatives."

"Give me one instance where I tried to interfere in business of govt, I shall resign that very moment. I can give you 1,001 examples where they interfered in the functioning of Universities daily," Governor AM Khan said, as quoted by news agency ANI.

The Kerala Governor alleged that all appointments in the state-run universities are illegal. "Why don't you raise the issue that until last yr Kerala had 13 universities&all appointments are illegal? Is there any other state where 100% of appointments have been done in violation of the law?" He said.
