Karnataka Fan Murder Case: Darshan, 3 Others Sent To Judicial Custody Until July 4

The court has ordered that Darshan, Pradosh, Vinay, and Dhanraj be held at Parappana Agrahara Central Prison for 14 days until the next hearing on June 4.

Kannada superstar Darshan Thoogudeepa, along with three other accused, has been remanded to judicial custody until July 4 in connection with the Renukaswamy murder case.

On Saturday, the court has ordered that Darshan, Pradosh, Vinay, and Dhanraj be held at Parappana Agrahara Central Prison for 14 days until the next hearing on June 4. The order was passed by Economical Offences Special Court in Renukaswamy alleged murder case.

Pavithra Gowda Actively Participated In Murder, Says Remand

The prime accused in the case, Darshan's partner Pavithra Gowda, is alleged to have played a crucial role in the brutal crime. According to the latest remand application submitted to the court, Pavithra Gowda not only provoked and conspired but also actively participated in the murder of Renukaswamy.

Initial reports suggested that Pavithra had only assaulted the victim with slippers and was present during the murder. However, the investigation has revealed her deeper involvement in the act. The remand application detailed that Pavithra, aged 33, along with several other accused, including Pradosh (alias Pavan K., 29), Raghavendra (43), Nandeesha (28), Jagadish (alias Jagga, 36), Anukumar (alias Anu, 25), Nagaraju, Lakshmana, Deepak, and Keshavamurthy, were directly involved in the heinous murder, according to a report on IANS.

Darshan, the second accused, is said to have involved his fans in the crime. The police have gathered substantial physical, technical, and scientific evidence indicating that the accused brutally attacked and fatally injured Renukaswamy. Following the murder, the accused allegedly used their influence and financial resources to dispose of the body and attempted to destroy evidence.

The remand application also highlights efforts by the accused to mislead the investigation and frame other individuals to evade justice. The police stated that the accused shared a common intention to commit the crime and took extensive measures to obliterate any traces of their involvement, as per the report.

Meanwhile, the autopsy report indicated that Renukaswamy's death was caused by shock and hemorrhage resulting from multiple blunt force injuries.
