Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, the Congress general secretary, will arrive in Mangaluru, Karnataka, today for the election campaign.

The Congress general secretary, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, will arrive in Karnataka's Mangaluru for the election campaign on Sunday (May 7), according to the party. According to Congress leader Manjunath Bhandary, she will address a public meeting at the Kolnad grounds in Mulki. He estimates that half a lakh people from Mangaluru North, Moodbidri, and Kaup will vote, PTI reported.

Meanwhile, Mohiuddin Bava, the Janata Dal (S) candidate for Mangaluru North, has announced that former Karnataka Chief Minister and party leader H D Kumaraswamy will address a party convention in Krishnapura on Sunday.

JD(S) leaders C M Ibrahim and B M Farooq, according to Bava, will also attend the convention.

On May 8, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will hold a rally and address a public meeting in Hyderabad. According to PTI, the working president of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) Mahesh Kumar Goud informed about Priyanka Gandhi's visit to Hyderabad on Thursday.

Earlier on Saturday, Former Congress President and UPA Chair Sonia Gandhi launched a scathing attack on the BJP and Prime Minister Modi during her first electoral rally in four years in Hubballi, Karnataka. In response to BJP President JP Nadda's remark about 'PM Modi's blessing,' the senior politician stated that the people of Karnataka do not need anyone's blessing. "The BJP is threatening people and saying that if the BJP does not win the state, it will not receive PM Modi's blessings," she said.

"Neither Karnataka nor India can progress unless the atmosphere of the BJP's loot, lies, ego, and hatred is removed," Gandhi said at her first public rally in the poll-bound state, which votes on May 10.
