J-K: 1 terrorist killed in Kupwara encounter

Kupwara (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], Jul 26 (ANI): One terrorist was gunned down by security forces on Thursday in an ongoing encounter in Jammu and Kashmir's Kupwara district.

The identity and the group affiliation of the slain terrorist are not yet known.

In recent months, the state has witnessed a huge spurt in terror activities.

Two terrorists were killed by security forces on Wednesday in an encounter in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag district.

Another encounter between the terrorists and security forces was reported on Wednesday in Kupwara.

On July 24, an army man was killed and two others sustained bullet injuries after terrorists attacked the Central Reserve Police Force party at Srinagar's Batmaloo area. (ANI)
