CPI-M attacks Modi, says he does 'Mann Ki Baat' but does not listen to people

New Delhi [India], July 30 (ANI): The Communist Party of India (Marxist) [CPI-M] on Sunday attacked Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi and said that he delivers his 'Mann Ki Baat', but never listens to the people of the nation.

PM Modi addressed nation with 34th edition of Mann Ki Baat.

CPI-M leader D Raja told ANI, "Modi has made it a practice. He is doing 'mann ki baat' but not listening to the people. He should listen to the people. Does he not know the organizations, which are killing the minorities."

Raja said that PM Modi's rhetoric of "casteism quit India" will not work, until he takes action.

"Why does he not take actions? The rhetoric of 'Casteism quit India' will not work. Does he not know which forces are speaking about Hindu rashtra? Does he not know the forces, which say that if you want to eat beef then you should go to Pakistan", he said.

Raja stated that the Prime Minister should speak about the Annihilation of caste like the father of Indian Constitution B.R. Ambedkar did.

Earlier in the day, the Congress Party questioned PM Modi's address about 'Quit India'.

Congress said that where were the Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) or other connected organisations in that struggle for India's freedom.

"Prime Minister Modi talks about 'Quit India', India's struggle for independence, where was RSS or other connected organizations in that struggle for India's freedom? What was the contribution of India's right wing in India's independence struggle?" Congress party leader Manish Tewari said.

Meanwhile, another leader Renuka Chaudhary advised the Prime Minister to do more and talk less as "people are dying every day in the name of caste, cow and communalism".

"The very fundamental of this country is to remove casteism, it is known as secular credentials. You have to do more, than what you talk. People are dying every day in the name of caste, cow and communalism," she said.

Earlier in the day, while addressing his 34th edition of his monthly radio broadcast of ` Mann Ki Baat`, Prime Minister Modi said that the nation have to take pledge to quit un-cleanliness, poverty, terrorism, casteism and communalism from India.

"This year we are celebrating 75th anniversary of 'Quit India' Movement. We should celebrate 15th August 2017 as the Sankalp Parva or the Day of Resolve. We have to take pledge to quit un-cleanliness, poverty, terrorism, casteism and communalism from India," he said. (ANI)
