Coalition woes hindering Bihar's development: BJP

New Delhi [India], July 18 (ANI): Amid the impasse between the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and the Janata Dal (United) over Tejashwi Yadav who is facing corruption charges,

the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has said that due to the coalition's uncertainty and personal problems, Bihar's development is hindering.

"The Central government's plans could have been one of the reasons for Bihar's development, but that is not happening because of the situation there, due to which the people of

Bihar are suffering," BJP leader Nityanand Rai told ANI here.

Talking about the row surrounding the Deputy Chief Minister, Rai further said that this might not be an issue for the Yadavs, but it is an issue for Bihar.

"The kind of allegations he (Tejaswi Yadav) is surrounded with, he should resign himself and if he is does not do so, then the Chief Minister should separate him from the cabinet,"

he further added.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered a corruption case against Lalu, his wife Rabri Devi, son Tejaswi; former Indian Railway Catering and Tourism

Corporation (IRCTC) Managing Director P.K. Goyal; and the wife of Lalu's confidante Prem Chand Gupta, Sujata on allegations of awarding the tender for development,

maintenance and operation of hotels in Ranchi and Puri in 2006.

The CBI later questioned Rabri Devi and Tejaswi.

However, Lalu on Friday said that his son Tejashwi will not resign as Bihar Deputy Chief Minister. (ANI)
