Indian Cricket Team head coach Gautam Gambhir hits back at critics, stating 'Hindustan Ki Cricket Kisiki Jagir Nahi Hai'. Speaking at ABP Network’s landmark India@2047 Summit, the 2011 Cricket World Cup winner reflected that merely 8 months into this coaching tenure, many commentators and experts have raised questions over his several actions.

Gautam added that he always expected these thinsg to come in his way, but has never been distracted off his motive to 'make India proud', which will stay till the last day of his career.

Amid all the criticism thrown at the team after humiliating Test series losses to New Zealand (home) and Australia (away), alongside being called 'unfit' for the role, Gambhir responded by stating it has merely been 8 months into his coaching career and he is 'fine with the criticism'.

Here's What He Said During The Session

"This topsy-turvy journey of mine always expected some bumps in the road, as my job of being the head coach of Indian Cricket Team drew its share of praise and criticism, and I still do, because the graph will always witness ups and downs."

"I welcome the criticism merely 8 months into my coaching career, and I am absolutely fine with it. But there are some individuals, who are sitting in the commentary box for 20-25 years, and their only focus has been upon raising questions on every action of mine."

"They think that 'Hindustan Ki Cricket Unki Ghar Ki Jagir Hai'. They are absolutely wrong. Indian Cricket belongs to the 140 crore population of this country, and it will remain the case for eternity."

"From my coaching, to my batting records, to my concussion, they have raised questions everytime, even on the prize money allocated for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 winning squad. I don't need to tell everyone in this country where do I put my finds and where I not, but I would also like to bring this issue in light that there are many so-called NRI's who earn the money whilst living in the country, and then leave at their own will."

"I will remain Indian till my last breath, and I will not become an NRI to save taxes."
