The much-awaited PUBG New State became available in India on Thursday for Android users only and it's launch for iOS has been delayed for unknown reasons.

New Delhi: The much-awaited PUBG New State became available globally, including in India on Thursday for Android and iOS users after a final technical test. The PUBG New State is set in 2051 and aims to provide a next-generation battle royale experience to smartphone gamers. This is different from the original PUBG game that ran into a big controversy.

"PUBG: New State has been and will continue to be a labour of love for the team at PUBG Studios, and we could not be more grateful to our global fans who have consistently shown their enthusiasm and support for the game since our announcement," Minkyu Park, Executive Producer for PUBG: New State, said in a statement.

Backed and developed by Krafton, the South Korean company, PUBG: New State is a free-to-play next-generation mobile game playable in 17 different languages.

The company mentioned that the new game aims to push the battle royale genre forward through original gameplay features that include, but are not limited to, weapon customisation, the drone store and a player recruitment system.

However, some users, including us, were unable to play the game due to a server glitch earlier in the day. The game had stopped downloading at 38 per cent without showing any specific error. Krafton had reportedly indicated some players by notifying them with 'undergoing maintenance for two hours' message. A whopping 40 million users had pre-registered for the game, according to reports.
