PS Plus Free Game Lineup For September Revealed: NFS Heat, Deathloop, Watch Dogs 2, More
PS Plus Essential users still have until September 5 to add August’s free games to their library.
PlayStation Plus subscribers will get their hands on an eclectic mix of free games in the month of September. From racing titles like Need for Speed Heat to time-warping shooters like Deathloop, Sony has offered a great list of games to keep even the most hard-headed fan happy. PlayStation Plus plans are now available in three tiers — Essential, Extra, and Deluxe. While PS Plus Essential subscribers will have access to three free games, Extra and Deluxe members will gain access to several more games later on in the month.
PS Plus Essential free games for September
Starting September 6, Essential subscribers will gain access to three free games — Need for Speed Heat, Granblue Fantasy: Versus, and Toem. While the first two games in the lineup will be available for PS4 users, the relaxing photographic adventure Toem will be a PS5 exclusive.
These three games will be available to be added to your library until October 3. If you have missed out on the free games for August — Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2, Yakuza: Like A Dragon, and Little Nightmares — you can still add them to your library until September 5.
The PlayStation Plus Monthly Games and Game Catalog lineup for September has been revealed. Highlights include Need for Speed Heat, Toem, Deathloop and Assassin's Creed Origins.

PS Plus Extra and Deluxe free games for September
Extra and Deluxe users will get access to all three abovementioned games for free. Additionally, they can also play titles from Sony’s ever-expanding Game Catalog, which will gain the following games this month: Deathloop, Assassin’s Creed Origins, Watch Dogs 2, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, Spiritfarer: Farewell Edition, Chicory: A Colorful Tale, Monster Energy Supercross — The Official Videogame 5, Alex Kidd in Miracle World DX, Rabbids Invasion: The Interactive TV Show, Rayman Legends, and Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game — Complete Edition.
Out of the above, Deathloop is a PS5 exclusive, while Monster Energy Supercross and Alex Kidd in Miracle World will be available for both PS4 and PS5 users. All other titles will be available for PS4 users.
Additionally, PS Plus Premium users get access to Sony’s Classics lineup, which this month will add the following PS1, PS3, and PSP titles — Syphon Filter 2, The Sly Collection, Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time, Bentley’s Hackpack, Toy Story 3, and Kingdom of Paradise.
The Extra and Deluxe free games will be available to subscribers starting September 20.
