PS Plus Black Friday Sale To Return This Year? Here's What Sony Might Offer This Time

Last year, PlayStation offered discounts of 25 per cent or 30 per cent on PS Plus subscriptions, depending on the tier purchased.

Rumours are doing rounds in the market about Sony coming up with the PS Plus Black Friday just like last year. Sony is expected to offer the best PS Plus games at great discounts to PS5 and PS4 users. While there is no confirmation about the plan yet, it might be a good idea to be prepared just it case Sony does decide to surprise us. PS4 and PS5 users who haven't subscribed to PS Plus yet might get the subscription at a discount of up to 30 per cent.

The sale is expected to be offered on November 22, 2024.

Last year, PlayStation offered discounts of 25 per cent or 30 per cent on PS Plus subscriptions, depending on the tier purchased. While the exact savings for this year's Black Friday sale haven’t been revealed yet, it's likely that similar discounts will be available in 2024. However, keep in mind that if you already have an active PS Plus subscription, you might not qualify for the Black Friday discount this time around.

PS Plus Black Friday Sale: Who Will Benefit

If your PS Plus subscription is set to remain active past the anticipated end date of the PS Store Black Friday sale, which is Monday, December 2, 2024, you likely won’t qualify for a discount on your renewal. Unfortunately, simply cancelling an active PS Plus subscription won’t grant access to the Black Friday discount if your subscription period extends beyond the sale’s conclusion. Many users found this out last year when they cancelled their subscriptions but were still unable to take advantage of the discounted rates.

However, if your PS Plus subscription is currently active and set to expire or renew before or during the Black Friday sale, you may still be eligible for the discount. To do so, ensure you turn off auto-renewal in advance.

If you’re a current PS Plus subscriber and your renewal date extends beyond the end of the Black Friday sale, the only way to take advantage of a discount might be by upgrading to a higher PS Plus tier. However, for those already subscribed to PS Plus Premium with an active subscription that lasts beyond the sale’s conclusion, there won’t be any opportunities to claim a discount.

It’s important to note that Sony has not yet confirmed whether PS Plus will be discounted during this year’s Black Friday sale. This assumption is based on discounts offered in previous years and the expectation that similar deals may be extended to non-subscribers again this year.
