The CEO of Take-Two, Strauss Zelnick, said, "We do feel highly confident that we'll deliver [Grand Theft Auto VI] in fall of 2025."

Rockstar Games's parent company Take-Two Interactive has officially announced that the much-awaited Grand Theft Auto 6 or GTA 6 will be released by the fall of 2025. Earlier there were rumours that the release of the game might be pushed to 2026 but after this official announcement, it is certain that the game will be released in 2025 only. This announcement from Take-Two Interactive came during the revelation of its latest earnings report. The company said that its current outlook is based on the new date.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Take-Two, Strauss Zelnick, in an interview to IGN said, "We do feel highly confident that we'll deliver [Grand Theft Auto VI] in fall of 2025," when he was asked if he was concerned with the potential delay of GTA 6.

GTA 6 Trailer Release

Rockstar Games made headlines when they officially unveiled Grand Theft Auto 6 last December, dropping the much-anticipated first official trailer that quickly became the talk of the gaming world and went on to set records as the most-watched video game reveal on YouTube within a mere 24 hours. This latest installment in the iconic franchise is set in the modern-day metropolis of Leonida, a meticulously crafted fictional rendition of Florida. Players will navigate the sprawling urban landscape and immerse themselves in the narrative through the eyes of Lucia, as well as a character, tentatively known as Jason, whose full identity remains a subject of intense speculation among fans.

Following the initial reveal, the gaming community has been abuzz with inquiries about the exact release date of GTA 6, with enthusiasts eagerly dissecting every detail, from minor website updates to potential plot leaks. Amidst all the excitement, internal discussions within Rockstar Games regarding the company's return-to-office policy have stirred up rumors about possible delays that could push the game's launch into the year 2026. However, despite these speculations, both Take-Two Interactive and Rockstar Games seem resolute in their commitment to deliver the highly anticipated title according to its original release timeline.

As things stand, Grand Theft Auto 6 is confirmed for release on the next-generation gaming consoles, namely PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. However, PC gamers, while eagerly anticipating the game's arrival on their platform, will need to exercise patience as the initial launch won't include a PC version. Nonetheless, the immense popularity and widespread anticipation surrounding GTA 6 are sure to make its eventual release a monumental event in the gaming world.
