Fact Check: Ranveer Allahbadia Crying In Guilt After Obscene Remark? No, Old Clip Shared As Recent

A viral video of Ranveer Allahbadia expressing guilt for halting work was falsely claimed to be related to his recent controversial comments on a TV show.

The Verdict [False]

This clip is from a 2021 YouTube video where the influencer discussed how COVID-19 affected his work and the team.

What's the claim?

A 15-second video circulating on X shows influencer Ranveer Allahbadia, known as "BeerBiceps," visibly emotional and speaking in Hindi, which translates to, "I feel bad because of me all the work has stopped, I feel damn guilty. I exposed the entire team, and the work stopped."

The caption of these posts claims that the video clip shows him talking about the impact of his recent comments on the internet show, India's Got Latent and criticizing him for the same. Archived links to the posts can be found here, here, here, and here

During an India's Got Latent show, Allahbadia asked a contestant a controversial question that led to widespread criticism of the podcaster and influencer. Additionally, the Assam and Maharashtra Police have filed First Information Reports (FIRs) against him and the show's co-host, Samay Raina.

However, we found that he was not addressing the recent incident in the viral clip. It has been clipped from a video he uploaded in 2021 when he contracted coronavirus.

What did we find?

A reverse image search using keyframes from the viral video clip led us to a YouTube video(archived here) uploaded by the influencer on April 7, 2021. The video is titled "This Is NOT Clickbait—My COVID-19 Experience | Vlog 24." In this YouTube video, Allahbadia shares how he contracted coronavirus, with the viral clip starting 30 seconds into the video.

Here, he discusses how contracting the virus halted his work and expresses guilt over exposing his team to it. This confirms that the viral clip is unrelated to his comments on the India's Got Latent show in February 2025.

We also found that the influencer recently uploaded an apology video on X (archived here) on February 10, 2025, in which he said that his comments on the show was "inappropriate" and "unfunny" before apologizing. He did not speak about feeling bad for his "work being stopped" in this apology video.

The verdict

The viral video clip of Ranveer Allahbadia is from an old video he uploaded in April 2021. In the video, he spoke about how contracting coronavirus affected his work and expressed his guilt for exposing his team to the virus.
