New Delhi: The trailer for the upcoming streaming series 'Tooth Pari: When Love Bites' has been released. It has an unusual love story in which a vampire visits to get her tooth treated and the shy dentist falls for her. The struggle between the human and vampire worlds that is going on beneath the surface of the two's passion slowly comes to light.

The trailer shows the moment when Dr. Roy (Shantanu Maheshwari) and Rumi (played by Tanya Maniktala) meet when she comes in for a broken fang replacement. The two quickly fall in love, but Roy becomes a little uneasy after learning Rumi's true identity. 

On Twitter, Netflix India shared the first trailer of the series with the caption, "She was a vampire girl, he was a dentist boy. What could go wrong? Catch Rumi and Roy’s story, in Tooth Pari. Arrives 20th April!" 

Speaking about the trailer launch, Shantanu Maheshwari expressed, "The trailer only scratches the surface of what's in store for the viewers in this impossible love story. It's a romantic thriller with subtle hints of comedy weaved into the vampire genre, which I feel is a very unique and a very distinct take on this genre. The story is fresh, unique with a first-of-its-kind experience and we are quite excited about the release."

With the international series 'A Suitable Boy' by Mira Nair in 2020, Tanya Maniktala made her acting debut. In Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Gangubai Kathiawadi', Shantanu Maheshwari made his acting debut alongside Alia Bhatt in 2022.

Produced by Endemol Shine India, the series also stars Tillotama Shome, Saswata Chatterjee, and Adil Hussain. 'Tooth Pari: When Love Bites' will release on Netflix on April 20, 2023.
