Sushant Singh Rajput Death Case: Bihar Police Questions Actor's EX Girlfriend Ankita Lokhande At Her Residence

Bihar Police recorded Ankita Lokhande's statement in connection with Sushant Singh Rajput's death case at her residence in Mumbai.

New Delhi: Late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s father KK Singh recently lodged a complaint against Rhea Chakraborty and five other people at Patna’s Rajiv Nagar Police station. Singh filed an FIR against the ‘Jalebi’ actress and her family members and accused them of abetment to suicide, cheating and unlawful confinement. The police registered an FIR against Rhea under various sections of the IPC. A four-member team from Bihar Police reached Mumbai on Wednesday (July 29) to investigate Sushant’s case. The cops reached Sushant’s former girlfriend Ankita Lokhande’s residence to record her statement in the late actor’s case. The Bihar Police Team questions the actress at her Mumbai home, according to news agency ANI. Ankita Lokhande had shared a cryptic post after SSR’s father registered an FIR against Rhea Chakraborty. She wrote, “Truth Wins” on social media. Sushant’s sister Shweta Singh Kirti dropped a comment on the post.

Ankita and Sushant became household names after playing the respective roles of Archana and Manav in Zee TV’s popular show ‘Pavitra Rishta’. They fell in love on the sets of the show. The former couple parted ways in 2016, leaving the industry and fans surprised. Ankita visited Sushant’s family members at his Mumbai residence after his demise. She reportedly went to Patna to meet the late actor’s father. Sushant Singh Rajput left for his heavenly abode at the age of 34. He was found dead at his apartment in Mumbai. His untimely demise has re-ignited debates on topics like nepotism and favouritism in the film industry. Earlier in the day, the ‘Dil Bechara’s family filed a caveat in Supreme Court after Rhea Chakraborty moved the top court and sought a transfer of FIR from Bihar to Mumbai.
