Shakti-Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki Actress Rubina Dilaik To Make Her COMEBACK With THIS Show

Rubina Dilaik will make her comeback to the small screen with Star Bharat's Jag Janani Maa Vaishno Devi.

New Delhi: TV actress Puja Banerjee, who played the role of Goddess Vaishno Devi in Star Bharat’s ‘Jag Janani Maa Vaishno Devi’, has decided not to continue with the show post the lockdown. The shooting for Hindi TV shows are expected to start by the end of June 2020. The makers of the small screen shows are sanitizing the sets and taking all precautionary measures to safeguard their actors and crew members from COVID-19. If a recent report in an entertainment portal is to be believed, the makers have already found Puja’s replacement. Popular TV actress Rubina Dilaik, who played the role of Saumya opposite Vivian Dsena in Colors TV’s ‘Shakti-Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki’, will replace Puja Banerjee as new Maa Vaishno Devi. Several actresses were approached for the show and they even gave look tests, the report said. “Many known actors were approached and tested for the main role of Vaishno Devi. However, it is Rubina who has been locked,” a source told IWMBuzz.
Rubina Dilaik won several hearts after playing the role of an intersex woman in ‘Shakti’. She left the social drama after the makers decided to take a generation leap. Jigyasa Singh is playing her on-screen daughter Heer in the show. Interestingly, both ‘Shakti-Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki’ and ‘Jag Jaanani Maa Vaishno Devi’ are produced by Rashmi Sharma. The actress and producer will work together for the second time.
Rubina had earlier played the role of Sita in ‘Devon Ke Dev Mahadev’ around seven years ago. Her ardent fans would definitely be excited to see her in the role of a Goddess. She celebrated her second anniversary will hubby Abhinav Shukla on June 21. Stay tuned for more updates!
