Rachel Zegler’s 'Snow White' Is Now Streaming On OTT; Know Where To Watch It In India

The classic Disney fairytale returns with a modern twist, starring Rachel Zegler as Snow White and Gal Gadot as the Evil Queen, and it's now available to stream online.

The long-awaited live-action adaptation of 'Snow White' is finally available to stream from the comfort of your home. The film, starring 'West Side Story' breakout star Rachel Zegler as the iconic princess and Gal Gadot as the menacing Evil Queen, premiered on OTT platforms on June 11. For Indian viewers, the film is now streaming on Disney+ via JioCinema (formerly Hotstar).

A reimagining of Disney’s 1937 animated classic 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs', the movie follows the beloved princess as she escapes an assassination attempt by her jealous stepmother and finds unexpected allies in a band of woodland outcasts. Alongside Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot, the ensemble cast features Andrew Burnap, Martin Klebba, Andrew Barth Feldman and Ansu Kabia.

'Snow White' OTT Details

If you missed it in theatres, now’s your chance to dive into this reimagined fantasy world. For Indian viewers, 'Snow White' is now streaming on Disney+ via JioCinema.

Audiences in the U.S. can rent the film on Amazon Prime Video for $24.99 or purchase it for $29.99. Physical copies, including 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD formats, are set to release on June 24.

'Snow White' storyline

The film’s storyline stays rooted in the essence of the original fairytale, but brings in fresh elements to expand its universe. As per the official synopsis, "Fleeing from the Evil Queen, Snow White finds refuge with Dopey, Bashful, Grumpy, Sneezy, Happy, Doc and Sleepy. When the palace guards embark on a mission to bring her back, a commoner and his group of woodland bandits band together to protect her."

'Snow White' Saw Mixed Reactions

While 'Snow White' managed a moderate run at the global box office, it fell short of its hefty production budget, estimated between $240 to $270 million. The film drew praise for Rachel Zegler’s performance but drew criticism for some of its bold stylistic choices and narrative changes.

The controversy surrounding Zegler’s earlier remarks about playing a “modern” princess also stirred backlash on social media, which reportedly impacted the film’s theatrical turnout.
