When asked about the much-talked-about scene with Indresh, the actor said, “I was nervous, I have said this quite a few times. Main sochta tha ki kaise hoga yaar ye scene kyuki Jo likha gaya and jo playout hua wo bohat hi alag hai and I know it happens ki aap script ek taraf sey padte hai but jab shoot chaalu hota hai to director koi aur flavour daal dete hain but I was confident ki ye Sanjay sir k haath mein hai and I felt very safe in that sense. (I kept wondering how the scene would turn out because what was written and what actually played out were quite different. I know this happens often—you read the script one way, but when the shooting starts, the director adds a different flavour. However, I was confident because it was in Sanjay sir’s hands, and I felt very safe in that sense).”
Sharing about his experience working with Indresh, Jason said, “It was brilliant to work with Indresh. Humari chemistry bohat hi acchi thi. I used to poke fun at him. He is very sweet, very humble. Our vanity was very close and one day I was playing a Bhojpuri song. He was shocked ki ye angrez bhojpuri sunta hai. I do it to change the mood.”

When asked if Bhansali is a strict taskmaster, Jason agreed and said, "Yes he is strict, I think perfectionist banne k liye aur art banane k liye thoda zaada focus karna padta hai. I remember ek candle k liye 25 min jaata tha ki thoda sa left thoda sa right. Haa wo strict hai, that’s what he wants. He has a high level of expectation to ek strictness uske saath aa hi jayega otherwise people start doing their own thing (I think to become a perfectionist and create art, you need to focus a lot more. I remember it used to take 25 minutes just to adjust a candle slightly to the left or right. Yes, he is strict, but that’s what he wants. He has a high level of expectation so strictness naturally comes with it; otherwise, people start doing their own thing)."
