Janhvi plays a diplomat in Ulajh
In 'Ulajh,' Janhvi Kapoor plays Suhana, a young diplomat caught in a perilous conspiracy during a critical assignment at the London embassy. As she navigates this career-defining role, Suhana becomes enmeshed in a complex web of deception, where even trusted allies might turn out to be enemies.
The trailer opens with Janhvi's character, Suhana Bhatia, introduced as a graduate of St. Stephen's College and Harvard University and the youngest Deputy High Commissioner. Suhana faces skepticism from her colleagues, who dismiss her achievements as mere nepotism.

The plot thickens with the arrival of Gulshan Devaiah's character, seemingly an undercover agent. In a tense exchange, he requests documents from Suhana, who pointedly asks if he believes he will be saved. The trailer hints at an internal leak jeopardising the lives of two RAW undercover agents. The trailer ends with Suhana declaring that a trap has been set for her, vowing not to surrender without a fight.

Reflecting on her role, Janhvi Kapoor shared, "This film is particularly special to me as I portray a very challenging role of a diplomat for the first time. It has been a humbling and fascinating experience. Working with Sudhanshu Saria has been incredibly enriching; he made me push my own boundaries. Suhana's character is strong and multi-dimensional, and I found a personal connection to some shades of the character that enabled me to deliver an authentic performance."

I can’t wait to see audiences go on this thrill-ride loaded with twists and turns.”
The film also features Adil Hussain, Rajesh Tailang, Meiyang Chang, Rajendra Gupta, and Jitendra Joshi. Written by Parveez Shaikh and Sudhanshu Saria. ‘Ulajh’ is set to hit theaters on August 2, 2024.
