Pakistani Actress & Model Zara Abid Feared Dead In PIA Flight Crash

Popular Pakistani model Zara Abid was among the passengers in the PIA flight that crashed near the Jinnah International Airport in Karachi on May 22.

New Delhi: A Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) Flight, with over 100 people on board, crashed in a residential area near the Jinnah International airport in Karachi on Friday (May 22). The special flight, which was flying from Lahore to Karachi, developed a technical snag and came down plunging mere 10 minutes before landing. The Pakistani Army and Air Force team were rushed to the accident spot to carry out the rescue operations. Several Pakistani celebs including Ali Zafar and Saba Qamar took to social media to express grief after the news of the crash circulated on the internet. Although the Pak government is yet to confirm her death, a photo journalist named Tapu Javeri claimed that the model passed away in the tragic plane crash. “Today Pakistan lost the gorgeous Zara Abid, a person so full of life and vitality, that no image could contain her. She was beautiful inside and out and it has been a privilege to have known her. May Allah keep her safe in heaven. My deepest condolences go out to her family and friends,” Tapu Javeri wrote on Instagram and Twitter.

Pakistani journalist Zain Khan had tweeted about Zara Abid’s death yesterday. "It has been confirmed that the Model and Actress Zara Abid hasn't survived the #PK8303 #PIA Plane Crash. Such tragic news! Heartfelt Condolences to her family and friends. #PIACrash #ZaraAbid #planecrash," he wrote on the micro-blogging site.
