Special PIA Flight For Eid With 107 People On Board Crashes In Karachi's Model Colony Just Before Landing (First Visuals)

PIA plane crash in Karachi: A Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) plane with 107 people on board crashed in a residential area near the Karachi Airport on Friday. The aircraft had 99 passengers and 8 crew member. Reports say PK8303 was special flight run for Eid by the airline amid Coronavirus pandemic. The plane was flying from Lahore to Karachi and came down plunging in Model colony near Karachi airport 10 minutes before landing. It said that the plane developed a technical snag due to which it came crashing down. Footage from social media showed smoke billowing from the site of the crash which is said to be a high density residential area.
Ambulances, police, Air force officials, Pakistani Rangers and rescue officials were rushed to help residents and evacuate them from the wreckage nd the incineration.
A pilot identified as Fakhar Alam posted a video on Twitter showing plumes of smoke emanating from the place where the fatal crash took place.
