Recently, Manoj Bajpayee spoke about his career, how he started out, and his films and work at the second edition of ABP Network Ideas of India.
Among many interesting anecdotes and experiences, Manoj Bajpayee mentioned a time when he was sitting next to filmmaker-producer Yash Chopra. Mr Bajpayee recalled that he was amazed to see a big-shot filmmaker like Yash Chopra nervous.

He said, “Yash Chopra Veer Zara ko leke nervous the, to mujhe laga ( Yash Chopra was nervous about Veer Zara and I thought) he playing humble then he said, ‘If I knew the formula of a hit film, why would I make the series of flops I have’.
The 'Satya' actor added how when such a big filmmaker can be unsure about his work, there can be no sure shot formula for success. One never knows what happens in the industry; what will work and what will not work and thus, as people we should not pay heed to people who preach and act like they know everything.
