‘Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl’ Trailer Released; Premieres From 12th August On Netflix

‘Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl’ is the story of the first Indian woman air force officer to enter a war zone. Jahnvi Kapoor will be seen portraying the role of the protagonist in the movie. Gunjan Saxena is one of the first female pilots to fly in combat and has played an important role in rescuing soldiers during the Kargil War in 1999. For displaying her courage during the war, she was felicitated with the gallantry Shaurya Vir Award. Directed by Sharan Sharma, 'Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl' also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Vineet Kumar Singh, Angad Bedi, and Manav Vij in pivotal roles. The makers dropped the trailer of the movie today which is all set to hit the OTT platform Netflix from 12^th August. The trailer shows the stereotypical process that a girl faces in the society when she tells that she wants to be a pilot. Pankaj Tripathi can be seen donning the role of the protagonist’s father. Breaking the stereotype of society, he can be seen supporting his daughter in joining the army. Based on the true-life events of Flight Lieutenant Gunjan Saxena, the trailer also illustrates the difficulties a woman faces when she enters a male-dominant profession. But by shattering all the boundaries and working hard on her dreams, she finally goes to the Kargil War. Jahnvi Kapoor took to her social media and shared the trailer of her upcoming movie.
