Mumbai: It is turning out to a blockbuster Thursday as makers of upcoming films have announced new projects. After Anubhav Sinha revealed the title of Rajkummar Rao starrer ‘Bheed’, Sunny Deol has shared a teaser poster of his upcoming film. Deol promised to announce ‘something very special’ on the occasion of Dusshera 2021. 

Did Sunny Deol Hint Towards ‘Gadar’ Sequel? 

The actor-turned-politician shared a poster on his Instagram and Twitter handles along with the caption, "Announcing Something very special and close to my heart tomorrow at 11 am. Watch this space tomorrow." The line 'Katha continues' caught the attention of the netizens, who were quick enough to guess that Deol would announce 'Gadar 2'.

The poster has created anticipation for 'Gadar 2', which is expected to go on floors soon. Fans have flooded the comments section with their messages. 

Ameesha Patel, who played the female lead in 'Gadar: Ek Prem Katha', also teased the fans on social media. She wrote, "Are you ready for the biggest announcement of the year? Watch this space tomorrow at 11 AM to find out!"

Bollywood critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh also shared the same poster on Twitter and dropped big hints about the film.

"BIGGG NEWS... This #Hindi film is considered one of the highest grossing films of all times... The powerful plot, gripping screenplay, unforgettable dialogue, melodious music and top notch performances, the recall value is tremendous... Now comes its sequel... Watch this space," Adarsh wrote on the micro-blogging site.

'Gadar: Ek Prem Katha', which was directed by Anil Sharma, was set against the backdrop of Partition of India. The film also starred late Amrish Puri in a key role. Anil Sharma's son Utkarsh Sharma had played the role of Sunny and Amisha's on-screen son in 'Gadar', which emerged as the highest grossing film of its time.
