'Once Again Became The Contractor Of Riotous Religion': Actor Zeeshan Ayyub On Bengaluru Violence

Violent protests ripped across eastern Bengaluru on Tuesday night over an alleged inciting Facebook post by a relative of a legislator, in which three people died while around 60 police personnel were injured.

New Delhi: Bollywood actor Mohd Zeeshan Ayyub who has been quite vocal with his thoughts over social, political events in the country, has once again come strong and put forward his views on the recently held Bengaluru violence in which three people died while around 60 policemen suffered injuries. Zeeshan said that a strict action should be taken against those responsible. His comments came after violent protests ripped across eastern Bengaluru late yesterday over an alleged inciting Facebook post by a relative of a legislator, in which three people died while around 60 police personnel were injured. According to the reports, a large mob gathered outside Congress MLA Srinivas Murthy's residence and rioted in DJ Halli, KG Halli and Pulakeshi Nagar, demanding the arrest of MLAs relative Naveen for his alleged derogatory social media post. Commenting on the same, the actor took to his official Twitter account on Wednesday morning and wrote, "Just got the news about #bangaloreriots ... is the whole country filled with things?? Once again became the contractor of the riotous religion !!" Zeeshan further said that neither does he know what the post on Facebook was about, not he wishes to know. He strongly opposed the violent incident by terming it 'wrong' and demanded a strict action on it. Soon after Zeeshan's Tweet, many people stood in support of what the actor said while several others lashed out at him for his stand on the horrifying incident. One of the users said, "They are not Zahil ,they know what they are doing against Kafirs, they are doing since centuries, every where in Pakistan, Afganistan, Bangladesh, Kashmir, Delhi and now Bengaluru."
