Actor Zeeshan Ayyub Thinks There’s A Bigger Debate Than Nepotism, Talks About How Industry Lies To Outsiders & Makes Fake Promises!

Zeeshan Ayyub also said how people are taking advantage of an actor’s demise to further their personal agendas.

The tragic and untimely death of Sushant Singh Rajput has triggered the nepotism debate in Bollywood and while many actors from the film industry have shared their views about the issue, ‘Tubelight’ actor Mohd Zeeshan Ayyub feels that the problem is far deeper than what it appears to be. The actor who has been part of many successful movies like Ranjhanaa and Tanu Weds Manu 2, opened up about how there is a larger problem at play.

Talking about the same, Zeeshan was quoted saying in an interview with HT, "Issko thoda sa ajeeb banaya ja raha hai. The whole nepotism debate is making the real issue very insignificant. There’s a much bigger problem and that’s when you’re lied to. You’re told that you have this projection and sometimes you’re promised a poster, too. The makers sell you the character like it’s the poster character and one of the main leads (in the film) but while shooting, it becomes a side character.” Weighing in on the insider-outsider debate, he claimed how people are taking advantage of an actor’s demise to further their personal agendas. “Kuch log toh bas apna personal papad sek rahe hai. I feel so bad that a colleague has died and people are playing games on it. There’s so much negativity around it. You must realise that if, at this point, you’re slamming someone, then automatically Sushant’s name will also get embroiled. It’s very ugly,”said Ayub. A few days back, actor Jimmy Shergill too had reacted on the nepotism debate, in his Instagram live session. However the actor had a totally different opinion unlike most of his counterparts. Jimmy feels nepotism is everywhere, ‘if a businessman wants his son to be a businessman, there’s nothing wrong in it,’ the actor said in his live session. Though he added that, “if nepotism blocks the way of a new talent then it is totally wrong”. Jimmy Shergill was recently in news when a scene from his latest web series ‘Your Honour’ became a subject of meme by trolls on social media.
