Uorfi Javed Shares Her Rebellious Behaviour While Living With Abusive Father: 'I Used To Sneak Out And Enjoy The Whole Night'

Uorfi Javed recalled how she managed to find joy and happiness despite living with an abusive and misbehaving father.

New Delhi: Uorfi Javed, known for her bold style and outspoken personality, recently spoke out about her teenage years. In a recent interview, she candidly spoke about her upbringing in Lucknow, where she lived with an abusive father and her rebellious spirit. Even though Uorfi’s parents were quite controlling, she still managed to find ways to have fun and be herself.

In a chat with 'The Male Feminist' on Hauterrfly, Uorfi Javed recalled how she used to sneak out at night with friends when she was young. “What I used to do at night when everyone slept, there was a door on the side of my bathroom. That door used to open outside the house. I used to open it, go out and my friends used to wait outside the gate on their cars. I used to enjoy the whole night. I used to chill,  I used to roam around, eat kulfi, drink tea and sometimes I used to drink a little. I was very badass that way,” she shared.

Particularly from her father's aggressive behaviour, she revealed having deep-rooted insecurities. Uorfi said, “My parents did not give me that much self confidence in my childhood. They used to say keep quiet, don't say anything. I used to get scolded a lot, I used to get beaten a lot. My father was very abusive in general. He just got angry and beat up my mom and us.”

Uorfi also shared that her father banned her and her sisters from leaving the home or even from standing on the roof. She said, “We were not allowed to go out of the house, you can't go. I cannot even stand on the roof. If it happened, he will say ‘Which man were you showing it to?’”

Uorfi said her father would openly embarrass her in front of others. “Slowly, my father started misbehaving a lot. He used to abuse me in front of everyone and in front of guests, saying are you showing your boobs in front of everyone,” she concluded.
