New Delhi: Diljit Dosanjh made history by being the first Indian performer to take the stage at Coachella, an American music festival. The audience could be seen dancing to some desi beats in clips and photographs from his performance uploaded on the festival's official account.
Following the historic performance, Amul shared a unique Instagram post honouring the singer's achievement. An animated depiction of Diljit Dosanjh wearing the traditional Punjabi attire he wore during his performance can be seen in the post.
The creative post was shared with a caption that read,"#Amul Topical: Diljit Dosanjh, first Indian artist to perform at the prestigious music and arts festival!" The text on the doodle read, "Coachella Ka Guru!" and "Desi Beats And Eats!"

Coachella is one of the most well-known music festivals in the world, and it takes place annually over two weekends in California. The Punjabi singer-actor's debut performance, where he wore a black Kurta and Tamba, a traditional attire for males in Punjab, was praised by DJ Diplo, Bollywood stars, and his fans alike.
On Monday, Diljit shared pictures from the music festival. In one of the videos of his performance going viral, the singer is seen saying, "Punjabi aageya Coachella oye (Punjabis have come to Coachella)!!"
The singer is also seen posing in one of the photos alongside American DJ and music producer Diplo.

Earlier, Diplo was seen dancing with his friends at the concert in a video posted on Diljit's Instagram Stories.
This year's festival features a lineup of some of the biggest South Asian performers, including Ali Sethi, a vocalist best known for his work on 'Pasoori'. Additionally, there will be performances from Kid Laroi, Charli XCX, Labrinth, Frank Ocean, Underworld, Jai Wolf, Joy Crookes, and Jai Paul who are from other countries.
