Rajnath Singh Attacks Pakistan In J-K With 'Rearing Snakes' Remark: 'Want To Have Good Relations, But...'

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said that if Pakistan guarantees it will not launch terrorism on Indian soil, India is ready to talk to them.

India wants to have good relations with the neighbouring countries, including Pakistan, but the nation encourages terrorism, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said at a rally in Rajouri in Jammu and Kashmir.

Rajnath Singh, while addressing the rally in the run-up to the second phase of the assembly elections in the UT, questioned how India can keep good relations with Islamabad when they keep increasing terrorism.

"We have a principle, that if we want to live peacefully, we should have good relations with our neighbours. We want to have good relations with all our neighbouring countries, we want to have good relations with Pakistan as well. But they are encouraging terrorism. How can it happen that they keep increasing terrorism and we keep good relations with them?" Rajnath Singh questioned.

The defence minister said that if Pakistan guarantees that they will not launch terrorism on Indian soil, we are ready to talk to them.

"If they guarantee that they will not launch terrorism on Indian soil at any cost, we are ready to hug them and have a dialogue with them," he added.

Hitting out at the neighbouring country, Rajnath said that Pakistan has reached such a state as rearing snakes and trading them always have bad consequences.

"Pakistan has reached this point because rearing and trading in snakes always leads to negative outcomes. The country's business of exporting terrorism has now slowed down, and terrorism will be completely eradicated from here," Rajnath said.
