Madhya Pradesh Polls: AAP Releases First List of 10 Candidates — Check Nominated Names

The AAP has now become the third political outfit to unveil its first list of candidates for the year-end elections

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) announced its initial roster of 10 candidates on Friday, marking a significant move in the run-up to the forthcoming Madhya Pradesh assembly elections. This announcement includes nominations for two seats in the Bhopal district, both currently held by the ruling BJP. The party also released its list for poll-bound Chhattisgarh today.

The AAP has now become the third political outfit to unveil its first list of candidates for the year-end elections while the poll schedule for which is yet to be disclosed. Previously, both the BJP and the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), led by Mayawati, had presented their contenders for the polls.

"Our first list of candidates for Madhya Pradesh Assembly Election 2023. Many congratulations to all our candidates, and best wishes for the campaign," the party posted on X, formerly Twitter.

The AAP, led by Arvind Kejriwal, had previously declared its intention to field candidates in all 230 assembly constituencies within the BJP-ruled state.

Among the candidates featured in the list are Sajjan Singh Parmar, vying for the Govindpura seat in Bhopal district, and Dr. Ravikant Dwivedi, fielded from Huzur in the state capital. Currently, both Govindpura and Huzur constituencies are represented by BJP MLAs Krishna Gaur and Rameshwar Sharma, respectively.

The AAP's candidate list further includes Sanjay Dubey for Sewda, Surendra Singh Tomar for Dimani, Ramesh Upadhyay for Morena, Komal Damor for Petlawad-ST, Sarita Pandey for Sirmour, IS Morya for Sironj, Anendra Govind Mishra “Rajan” for Churhat, and Ram Ji Patel for Maharajpur.

Previously, the BJP had unveiled its candidates for 39 assembly seats in Madhya Pradesh, while the BSP's first list included seven nominees. The political landscape is steadily unfolding as the state prepares for an intense electoral contest.
