Lok Sabha Results —'Dear Sensible Voters...': Akhilesh Yadav Pens Note As SP Scores Lead In UP

Lok Sabha Results: The Samajwadi Party scored big in UP as it won 37 of the 80 Parliamentary seats there.

Samajwadi Party supremo Akhilesh Yadav thanked the voters of Uttar Pradesh who handed the party a big mandate in the state in the Lok Sabha elections 2024. Penning a note on his X handle to the "sensible voters" of UP before leaving for Delhi — here the I.N.D.I.A bloc will hold a meeting to discuss their next move — the SP chief attributed party's victory to the various sections of society.

In his note addressed to "sensible voters" of UP, Akhilesh called the mandate a "jan-priya jeet" (people's-favourite victory).

It is the victory of the "trust of the Dalit-Bahujan community", he said adding:  "which, along with its backward, minority, tribal, half the population and all the neglected, exploited and oppressed sections of the society, has fought shoulder to shoulder to save the Constitution."

The former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister upheld the party's win, which bagged 37 of the seats in UP, to women's dignity and safety, "bright future" of the youth, and "new hopes" of farmers, laborers, businessmen and traders.

He also lauded the "tireless, fearless and honest efforts of an unbiased and honest media" for the huge win and

"This is a collective victory of harmony-loving, inclusive and egalitarian positive people of the entire society," and of the "protectors of the Constitution", remarked Akhilesh.
