Lok Sabha Elections Results: Ahead of the counting of votes in the Lok Sabha elections on Tuesday, there was dead silence on the social media platforms of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Congress, Aam Aadmi Party and the Trinamool Congress. All the major parties along with the entire nation are poised for the results of the general elections.

The counting of votes in the Lok Sabha elections is set to take place on Tuesday. The Lok Sabha polls were held in seven phases from April 19 to June 1.

On one hand, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is looking forward to a historic third term, while on the other hand the opposition I.N.D.I.A bloc is hoping to defeat the ruling NDA.

The voting for the Lok Sabha Elections started on April 19, followed by the second phase on April 26, the third phase on May 7, the fourth phase on May 13, the fifth phase on May 20, the sixth phase on May 25 and the last phase on June 1. The counting of votes for the Andhra Pradesh and Odisha assembly polls and bye-elections to assembly seats will also be held on the same day.

The counting day is set to decide the fate of over 8,000 candidates, of which 16 per cent have been fielded by national parties, and six per cent by state parties.

A day ahead of the counting of votes in the Lok Sabha elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) exuded confidence and said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will retain power and for government at the centre for a third straight time. In a post on X, "𝐖𝐞 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐢𝐭’𝐬 𝐠𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐚 𝐛𝐞 #𝐌𝐨𝐝𝐢𝐀𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐲𝐞𝐭, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐱𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭…".

According to the exit polls announced on June 1, the National Democratic Alliance will retain its power at the Centre with a thumping victory.

The ABP-CVoter survey, the BJP-led alliance was projected to win 353 to 383 seats out of the total 543 Lok Sabha seats. The saffron party alone was projected to win 315 seats, which is greater than its 2019 tally of 303 seats, the pollsters have predicted.
