Mumbai Police Issue Traffic Advisory Ahead Of PM Modi's Ghatkopar Roadshow — Check Details

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold a roadshow in Mumbai's Ghatkopar in support of BJP candidate Mihir Kotecha.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold a roadshow in Mumbai's Ghatkopar on Wednesday after a mega campaign rally in Varanasi following his nomination for the Lok Sabha elections 2024. Ahead of his roadshow, Mumbai Traffic Police issued an advisory for commuters informing them about the arrangements put in place in the city. 

In Mumbai, the PM will hold the campaign in support of the Bharatiya Janata Party candidate from Ghatkopar seat, Mihir Kotecha. The voting on all Lok Sabha seats in Mumbai including Ghatkopar will take place in the fifth phase of polling on May 20. 

LBS Road from Gandhi Nagar Junction to Naupada Junction and Mahul Ghatkopar Road from Meghraj Junction to RB Kadam Junction will remain closed from 2 pm to 10 pm. The 2.5-kilometre roadshow will start at 8 pm from Shreyas Cinema on LBS Road in Ghatkopar, and end at Gandhi market. 

The following roads will also remain closed between 2 pm to 10 pm on Wednesday. 

  • AGL road from Ghatkopar Junction to Sakinaka Junction
  • Hiranandani Kailas Complex road towards Gulati Petrol Pump Junction
  • Golibar Maidan and Ghatkopar Metro Station (W) towards Sarvodaya Junction 

Mumbai traffic police has also suggested that the commuters taking the LBS Road can alternatively opt for the Eastern Express Highway, Western Express Highway, Andheri-Kurla Road, Saki Vihar Road, MIDC Central Road, Santacruz Chembur Link Road (SCLR), Sion Bandra Link Road, and Jogeshwari Vikhroli Link Road (JVLR).

Ahead of the roadshow, PM Modi will address a public meeting in Dindori at around 3 pm after which he is scheduled to hold another rally in Kalyan at around 5 pm.
