Lok Sabha Polls: Delhi CM Kejriwal Says, 'My PA Arrested, Raghav Chadha, Saurabh Bhardwaj, Atishi Next'
Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal during his campaign in West Delhi warned of potential arrests of prominent AAP leaders such as Raghav Chaddha, Atishi, and Saurabh Bharadwaj.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, amidst a fervent campaign in West Delhi, unleashed a scathing attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday, forewarning of an impending crackdown on AAP leaders. Kejriwal asserted that the nation's resentment towards the BJP would culminate in their defeat on June 4, the day of Lok Sabha poll counting.
In a series of street meetings across West Delhi, Kejriwal voiced his concerns, alleging that the BJP would resort to arresting prominent AAP figures such as Raghav Chaddha, Atishi, and Saurabh Bharadwaj to suppress opposition voices, news agency PTI reported. This assertion came on the heels of his aide, Bibhav Kumar's arrest in connection with an alleged assault on AAP MP Swati Maliwal.
"Nukkad Sabhas" held in Najafgarh, Vikaspuri, Janakpuri, Hari Nagar, and Madipur served as platforms for Kejriwal to amplify his message following a press conference addressing Kumar's arrest. Braving the looming threat, Kejriwal announced his intention, along with AAP leaders, to visit the BJP headquarters on Sunday, challenging Prime Minister Narendra Modi to apprehend them collectively.
"They (BJP) are after us...Today they arrested my PA, now they will arrest Raghav Chadha, Atishi, Saurabh Bharadwaj," Kejriwal remarked, urging the electorate to support AAP as a bulwark against his potential incarceration. "It's in your hands. If you want me to go to jail, choose the BJP; otherwise, choose the AAP."

Lok Sabha Poll Results Will Prove To BJP That Entire Country Is Angry With Its Dictatorial Rule: Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal
Accompanying Kejriwal in these interactions was AAP's West Delhi Lok Sabha candidate, Mahabal Mishra. CM Kejriwal exuded confidence that the populace would dislodge the BJP from power as he claimed that the Lok Sabha poll results will prove that the entire country is angry with the saffron party's dictatorial rule.
"People of the country are angry with them. People are fed up with inflation, unemployment and corruption," Kejriwal emphasised, claiming sentiment against the BJP's governance.
The AAP chief was given interim bail granted by the Supreme Court until June 1 for Lok Sabha election campaigning, necessitating his return to custody on June 2.
