Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge
Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge on Tuesday said that a meeting has been convened on January 10 to assign responsibilities to various units of the party for the Lok Sabha elections. He added that he is going to Delhi on Wednesday to hold the meeting. “I.N.D.I.A. bloc has taken some decisions regarding the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. I'm going to Delhi tomorrow. There is a meeting with various units of our party. We have to assign responsibilities to various units,” Kharge told reporters, as quoted by news agency PTI.
The 81-year-old Rajya Sabha member mentioned that the grand old party has appointed more than 500 representatives in the constituencies. Additionally, the party has appointed observers on a district-by-district basis.
According to PTI, Kharge said, “There is also a meeting in Karnataka tomorrow to decide on how to choose candidates. Similar exercises have taken place in other states.”

He also said countries fight when the worst situations arise, just like India fought Pakistan for the liberation of Bangladesh, PTI reported.
