Punjab Elections 2022: AAP CM Candidate Bhagwant Mann Shares Emotional Moment With His Mother

Mann said he will take oath for the top post in Bhagat Singh's ancestral village Khatkarkalan, not in Raj Bhawan.

New Delhi: Bhagwant Mann AAP candidate embraced his mother Harpal Kaur on stage sharing an emotional moment after his party made a clean sweep in Punjab. Fellow contenders like Navjot Singh Sigh, Sukhbir Badal & Capt Amarinder Singh congratulated him & Aam Admi Party for their victory.

Delhi CM and Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal along with Manish Sisodia and Satyendar Jain offered prayers at Hanuman Temple as early trends were in favour of the party.

While making an address, Bhagwant Mann greeted scores of AAP supporters, saying the people have removed Charanjit Channi and Sukhbir Badal's claim to make him the Chief Minister. He began his brief address saying "inquilab zindabad", calling the AAP sweep a historic win.

Mann said he will take oath for the top post in Bhagat Singh's ancestral village Khatkarkalan, not in Raj Bhawan. No govt office will carry pictures of CM, instead, there will be pictures of Bhagat Singh & BR Ambedkar, he added.

The celebrations began as soon as the Aam Aadmi Party crossed the halfway mark in Punjab, supporters and AAP workers were seen dancing in Dhuri at Mann's residence. AAP workers were seen dancing at the Dhuri residence of Mann with brooms in their hands. The broom is the election symbol of the AAP.

AAP leader Raghav Chadha said that the results were an indication that the people of the state had accepted the duo of Kejriwal-Bhagwant Mann. "In future, Arvind Kejriwal will be the principal challenger of BJP and AAP will be Congress' national and natural replacement."
