Kejriwal's 'Aam Aadmi' Gesture Outside Polling Booth With Family That You Can't Miss: WATCH

Arvind Kejriwal casts video: Delhi's former CM, Arvind Kejriwal, voted in the New Delhi constituency accompanied by his family, including his aged parents in wheelchairs.

Former Delhi Chief Minister and his wife Sunita Kejriwal painted a powerful picture as he arrived at a polling booth in the New Delhi constituency with his parents and wife. His aged parents were in wheelchairs and he was seen wheeling them into the polling booth amid tight security.

Arvind Kejriwal arriving at the polling booth wheeling his parents in wheelchairs is sure to reinforce his 'common man' image. This could also resonate well with the middle class, the core vote base of the Aam Aadmi Party.

Arvind Kejriwal is quite close to his parents. After being released from jail in the Delhi liquor policy case, he first visited his parents at the family's Civil Lines residence and touched their feet.

In May last year, when Arvind Kejriwal was battling various accusations after a fallout with former AAP leader Swati Maliwal, he claimed his parents were being targeted by the BJP using the Delhi Police. Claiming that the Delhi Police were planning to interrogate his parents, he appealed to the cops to "leave his parents alone".

He said he was waiting for his parents for the police, but they did not show up.

Kejriwal's Appeal To Delhi Voters

Ahead of casting his vote, Kejriwal appealed to the people of Delhi to vote against Hooliganism. "Dear Delhiites, your vote is not just a button; it is the foundation of your children's bright future. It is an opportunity to provide good schools, excellent hospitals, and a respectable life to every family. Today, we have to defeat the politics of lies, hatred and fear and make truth, development and honesty win. Hooliganism will lose; Delhi shall win," he said in an X post.
