ABP does it again. Tops the television and digital charts on counting day

On the counting day, ABP News as a brand was No.1 on Google trends on the result day. Hashtag #ABPresults2019 was trending on Twitter during the most hours of counting.

New Delhi: We thank all our viewers and followers for making ABP News the Number 1 watched news channel between 8am to 11 am on May 23, 2019 – Counting of votes for Lok Sabha polls. The television viewers voted with their remotes on the high-voltage Election Results Day and delivered a flattering verdict for ABP News’ credibility, programming and quality of coverage. ABP News channel gathered 26 per cent market share in the Hindi news segment, it was followed by news channels namely Aaj Tak at 25%, India TV 10%, News 18 India 10% and Republic Bharat 8% between 8 am to 11 am on May 23 . The finale was vital for us in reaching out to our followers in the fastest & most accurate manner. Be it the news channel or the social media, ABP News made sure that the country received the trends and the leads first. During the course of elections, ABP News channel had given viewers and readers regular updates on the campaigns and also about the persevering leaders who fought for their respective parties. On ABP News’ websites, we observed a heavy traction of 3 lakh concurrent users from 7 am, which peaked to 1.2 million at 11 am and even after the clear outcome of the election results users continued to remain with us throughout the day. On the counting day, ABP News as a brand was No.1 on Google trends on the result day. Hashtag #ABPresults2019 was trending on Twitter during the most hours of counting. During the peak time 9 lakh viewers were watching  our unrivaled coverage of Lok Sabha poll results through ABP News YouTube livestream, which was double than our closest competitor. ABP does it again. Tops the television and  digital charts on counting day ABP Live App was trending at No. 1 position on Google Play Store the whole day, with added installs of over 1.5 million users on Android app during the counting day (as per AdGyde Analytical tool, May 23). Not only this, 4.8 million users on ABP Live App on counting day, bolstered the digital views (As per Google Analytics on 23rdMay). ABP News Network witnessed 27.5 million unique visitors, 39 million Live TV viewers and 19.5 VOD users on its’s website and App. We once again thank all our viewers for making us the most preferred news destination on television and on the digital front on the day it mattered the most.
