Vizianagaram: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Ashok Gajapathi Raju Pusapati from Telugu Desam Party (TDP) won the elections by a margin of 106911 votes. The polling / voting in Vizianagaram constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 1 on 11 April. The major contest is between Telugu Desam Party#s Ashok Gajapathi Raju and YSR Congress Party#s Bellani Chandrasekhar

Vizianagaram 2014 Lok Sabha Polls

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Telugu Desam Party won 15 out of the 25 parliamentary seat with 29.1 percent vote share while the YSR Congress Party managed to win just 8 seats with a 28.9 percent vote share.

Voter turnout in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections in Vizianagaram Lok Sabha Lok Sabha constituency. The total voter turnout was 79.79% Lok Sabha percent with 79.19% Lok Sabha percent male voters turning out to cast their votes. Out of the 9 Lok Sabha candidates who contested the 2014 Lok Sabha elections from Vizianagaram, 7 had to deposit their security. The voters gave their mandate in favour of Ashok Gajapathi Raju Pusapati of the Telugu Desam Party as he defeated Venkata Swetha Chalapathi Kumara Krishna Rangarao Ravu by a margin of 106911 votes.
