Sonipat: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Ramesh Chander from Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) won the elections by a margin of 77414 votes. The polling / voting in Sonipat constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 6 on 12 May. The major contest is between Bharatiya Janata Party#s Ramesh Chandra Kaushik and Congress Party#s Bhupinder Singh Hooda
