Patna Sahib: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Shatrughana Sinha from Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) won the elections by a margin of 265805 votes. The polling / voting in Patna Sahib constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 7 on 19 May. The major contest is between Bharatiya Janata Party#s Ravi Shankar Prasad and Congress Party#s Shatrughan sinha

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Bharatiya Janata Party won 22 out of the 40 parliamentary seat with 29.4 percent vote share while the Lok Janshakti Party managed to win just 6 seats with a 6.4 percent vote share.
