Kolkata Dakshin: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Subrata Bakshi from All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) won the elections by a margin of 136339 votes. The polling / voting in Kolkata Dakshin constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 7 on 19 May. The major contest is between Bharatiya Janata Party#s Chandra Kumar Bose and All India Trinamool Congress#s Mala Roy

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, All India Trinamool Congress won 34 out of the 42 parliamentary seat with 39.8 percent vote share while the Communist Party of India (Marxist) managed to win just 2 seats with a 23 percent vote share.

રોહિત શર્માની અણનમ સદીની મદદથી ટીમ ઈન્ડિયાએ વર્લ્ડકપમાં પોતાની પ્રથમ મેચમાં દક્ષિણ આફ્રિકાને 6 વિકેટે હરાવ્યું હતું. 228 રનના લક્ષ્યાંકનો પીછો કરવા ઉતરેલી ટીમ ઈન્ડિયાએ 47.3 ઓવરમાં 4 વિકેટ ગુમાવી 230 રન ફટકાર્યા હતા. હિટમેન રોહિત શર્માએ પોતાની વનડે કેરિયરમાં 23મી સદી ફટકારી હતી. તેની સાથે જ તેમણે ભારતના પૂર્વ કેપ્ટન સૌરવ ગાંગુલીને પાછળ છોડી દીધો છે જેમના નામે 22 વનડે ઇન્ટરનેશનલ સદી છે. ભારત તરફથી રોહિત શર્માએ અણનમ 122 રન ફટકાર્યા હતા. તે સિવાય ધોનીએ 34 અને લોકેશ રાહુલ 26, કોહલી 18 અને હાર્દિક પંડ્યાએ અણનમ 15 રન ફટકાર્યા હતા.
