Kalyan: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Dr.Shrikant Eknath Shinde from Shiv Sena (SHS) won the elections by a margin of 250749 votes. The polling / voting in Kalyan constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 4 on 29 April. The major contest is between Shiv Sena#s Shrikant Shinde and Nationalist Congress Party#s Babaji Patil

Kalyan 2014 Lok Sabha Polls

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Bharatiya Janata Party won 23 out of the 48 parliamentary seat with 27.3 percent vote share while the Shiv Sena managed to win just 18 seats with a 20.6 percent vote share.

Voter turnout in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections in Kalyan Lok Sabha Lok Sabha constituency. Out of the 18 Lok Sabha candidates who contested the 2014 Lok Sabha elections from Kalyan, 16 had to deposit their security. The voters gave their mandate in favour of Dr.Shrikant Eknath Shinde of the Shiv Sena as he defeated Anand Prakash Paranjpe by a margin of 250749 votes.
