Erode: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Selvakumara Chinnayan S from All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (ADMK) won the elections by a margin of 211563 votes. The polling / voting in Erode constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 2 on 18 April. The major contest is between All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam#s G. Manimaran and Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam#s A. Ganesha Murthi
