Chikkodi: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Prakash Babanna Hukkeri from Indian National Congress (INC) won the elections by a margin of 3003 votes. The polling / voting in Chikkodi constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 3 on 23 April. The major contest is between Bharatiya Janata Party#s ShriAnna Saheb Jolle and Congress Party#s Prakash hukkeri

Chikkodi 2014 Lok Sabha Polls

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Bharatiya Janata Party won 17 out of the 28 parliamentary seat with 43 percent vote share while the Indian National Congress managed to win just 9 seats with a 40.8 percent vote share.

Here, Bharatiya Janta Party leader Jigajinagi Ramesh Chandappa attained 379580 votes and Indian National Congress candidate Ghatage S B bagged 336088 votes
• 1999 Lok Sabha Elections: In 13th Lok Sabha election, Janata Dal (United) candidate had defeated Indian National Congress candidate by a margin of 84590 votes JD(U) candidate Jigajinagi Rameshchandappa had got 392450 while INC got Kanagali Pradeepkumar Shankaranand votes.
• 1998 Lok Sabha Elections: In 12th Lok Sabha poll, LS candidate defated Indian National Congress candidate in one-sided contest. Here, LS candidate Jigajinagi Ramesh Chandappa attained 359760 votes and INC's B.Shankaranand bagged 228522 votes.
• 1996 Lok Sabha Elections: In 11th Lok Sabha poll, JD candidate defated Indian National Congress candidate in one-sided contest. Here, JD candidate Ratnamala Dhareshwar Savanoor attained 309435 votes and INC's B Shankaranand bagged 196676 votes.
• 1991 Lok Sabha Elections: In 10th Lok Sabha poll, Indian National Congress candidate defated JD candidate in one-sided contest. Here, INC candidate B. Shankaranand attained 261884 votes and JD's A.K. Rayannavar bagged 149268 votes.
• 1989 Lok Sabha Elections: In Ninth Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate had defeated RPK candidate by a margin of 61264 votes INC candidate B.Shankaranand had got 274975 while RPK got Avinash Datta Katti votes.
• 1984 Lok Sabha Elections: In 8th Lok Sabha election, interesting battle could be seen between Indian National Congress and JNP here Indian National Congress candidate defeated his JNP counterpart with a difference of 3645 votes.
• 1980 Lok Sabha Elections: In 7th Lok Sabha poll, Indian National Congress candidate defated Indian National Congress candidate in one-sided contest. Here, INC(I) candidate B. Shankaranand attained 212092 votes and INC(U)'s Kamble Dinakar Devendra bagged 66008 votes.
• 1977 Lok Sabha Elections: In Sixth Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate defeated BLD candidate with a difference of 45500 votes. Here, Indian National Congress leader B. Shankaranand attained 173166 votes and BLD candidate Karale Laxman Bhimarao bagged 127666 votes
• 1971 Lok Sabha Elections: In Fifth Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate had defeated NCO candidate by a margin of 97743 votes INC candidate B. Shankaranand had got 177967 while NCO got Karale Laxman Beema votes.

प्रियंका गांधी कहा कि अमेठी लोकसभा सीट से बीजेपी उम्मीदवार स्मृति ईरानी ने कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष राहुल गांधी को नीचा दिखाने के लिये यहां लोगों को जूते बांटकर अमेठी का अपमान किया है। जिसके जवाब में स्मृति ईरानी ने कहा कि एक्टर मैं रह चुकी हूं इसलिए प्रियंका एक्टिंग न करें तो बेहतर है, जहां तक उन गरीब नागरिकों की बात है जिनके पैरों में जूते नही हैं तो मैं यही कहना चाहूंगी कि अगर उनमें (प्रियंका गांधी) जरा सी भी शर्म बाकी है तो वह खुद जाकर देख लें कि सच क्या है...?

कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष राहुल गांधी ने सोमवार को कहा कि कांग्रेस की सरकार बनी तो न्याय योजना के 72 हजार रुपये पांच करोड़ महिलाओं के खाते में भेजा जायेगा. न्याय योजना से देश की अर्थ व्यवस्था मजबूत होगी. बेरोजगार युवाओं को रोजगार मिलेगा. देश के 12 हजार रुपये आय से कम वाले लोगों के खाते में छह हजार रुपये हर माह भेजेंगे.
