Aonla: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Dharmendra Kumar from Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) won the elections by a margin of 138429 votes. The polling / voting in Aonla constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 3 on 23 April. The major contest is between Bharatiya Janata Party#s Dharmendra Kumar and Bahujan Samaj Party#s Ruchi Veera

Aonla 2014 Lok Sabha Polls

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Bharatiya Janata Party won 71 out of the 80 parliamentary seat with 42.3 percent vote share while the Samajwadi Party managed to win just 5 seats with a 22.2 percent vote share.

Out of the 13 Lok Sabha candidates who contested the 2014 Lok Sabha elections from Aonla, 10 had to deposit their security. The voters gave their mandate in favour of Dharmendra Kumar of the Bharatiya Janta Party as he defeated Kunwar Sarvraj Singh by a margin of 138429 votes.

• 1998 Lok Sabha Elections: In 12th Lok Sabha election, interesting battle could be seen between Bharatiya Janta Party and Samajwadi Party here Bharatiya Janta Party candidate defeated his Samajwadi Party counterpart with a difference of 8022 votes.
• 1996 Lok Sabha Elections: In 11th Lok Sabha election, interesting battle could be seen between Samajwadi Party and Bharatiya Janta Party here Samajwadi Party candidate defeated his Bharatiya Janta Party counterpart with a difference of 6792 votes.
• 1991 Lok Sabha Elections: In 10th Lok Sabha election, Bharatiya Janta Party candidate had defeated Indian National Congress candidate by a margin of 72480 votes BJP candidate Rajveer Singh had got 156703 while INC got Rama Kashyap (W) votes.
• 1989 Lok Sabha Elections: In Ninth Lok Sabha election, Bharatiya Janta Party candidate had defeated Independent candidate by a margin of 78489 votes BJP candidate Raj Veer Singh had got 180778 while IND got Jai Pal Singh Kashyap votes.
• 1984 Lok Sabha Elections: In 8th Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate had defeated Independent candidate by a margin of 52823 votes INC candidate Kalyan Singh Solanki had got 117327 while IND got Jai Pal Singh Kashyap votes.
• 1980 Lok Sabha Elections: In 7th Lok Sabha election, JNP(S) candidate defeated Indian National Congress candidate with a difference of 26134 votes. Here, JNP(S) leader Jaipal Singh Kashyap attained 106095 votes and Indian National Congress candidate Santosh Kumari bagged 79961 votes
• 1977 Lok Sabha Elections: In Sixth Lok Sabha poll, BLD candidate defated INC candidate in one-sided contest. Here, BLD candidate Brij Raj Singh attained 196703 votes and INC's Savitri Shyam bagged 59515 votes.
• 1971 Lok Sabha Elections: In Fifth Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate defeated BJS candidate with a difference of 10381 votes. Here, Indian National Congress leader Savitri Shyam attained 77102 votes and BJS candidate Brij Raj Singh bagged 66721 votes
• 1967 Lok Sabha Elections: In Fourth Lok Sabha election, interesting battle could be seen between Indian National Congress and BJS here Indian National Congress candidate defeated his BJS counterpart with a difference of 1132 votes.
