Alwar: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Chand Nath from Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) won the elections by a margin of 283895 votes. The polling / voting in Alwar constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 5 on 6 May. The major contest is between Bharatiya Janata Party#s Balak Nath and Congress Party#s Jitendra singh

Alwar 2014 Lok Sabha Polls

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Bharatiya Janata Party won 25 out of the 25 parliamentary seat with 54.9 percent vote share while the Indian National Congress managed to win just seats with a 30.4 percent vote share.

Voter turnout in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections in Alwar Lok Sabha Lok Sabha constituency. The total voter turnout was 65.25% Lok Sabha percent with 67.40% Lok Sabha percent male voters turning out to cast their votes. Meanwhile, 62.78% Lok Sabha percent of the women voters cast their votes and 2512 Lok Sabha voters pressed on the NOTA

Out of the 19 Lok Sabha candidates who contested the 2014 Lok Sabha elections from Alwar, 17 had to deposit their security. The voters gave their mandate in favour of Chand Nath of the Bharatiya Janta Party as he defeated Bhanwar Jitendra Singh by a margin of 283895 votes.

  • 1999 Lok Sabha Elections: In 13th Lok Sabha election, Bharatiya Janta Party candidate had defeated Indian National Congress candidate by a margin of 57928 votes BJP candidate Dr. Jaswant Singh Yadav had got 325556 while INC got Mahendra Kumari votes.
  • 1998 Lok Sabha Elections: In 12th Lok Sabha election, interesting battle could be seen between Indian National Congress and Independent here Indian National Congress candidate defeated his Independent counterpart with a difference of 2561 votes.
  • 1996 Lok Sabha Elections: In 11th Lok Sabha election, interesting battle could be seen between Indian National Congress and Bharatiya Janta Party here Indian National Congress candidate defeated his Bharatiya Janta Party counterpart with a difference of 2433 votes.
  • 1991 Lok Sabha Elections: In 10th Lok Sabha poll, Bharatiya Janta Party candidate defated Indian National Congress candidate in one-sided contest. Here, BJP candidate Mahendra Kumari (W) attained 201430 votes and INC's Ram Singh Yadav bagged 98024 votes.
  • 1989 Lok Sabha Elections: In Ninth Lok Sabha election, JD candidate had defeated Indian National Congress candidate by a margin of 88515 votes JD candidate Ramji Lal Yadav had got 252824 while INC got Ram Singh Yadav votes.
  • 1984 Lok Sabha Elections: In 8th Lok Sabha poll, Indian National Congress candidate defated Independent candidate in one-sided contest. Here, INC candidate Ram Singh Yadev attained 199910 votes and IND's Sampat Ram bagged 74379 votes.
  • 1980 Lok Sabha Elections: In 7th Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate defeated JNP candidate with a difference of 19287 votes. Here, Indian National Congress leader Ram Singh Yadav attained 121075 votes and JNP candidate Ramji Lal Yadav bagged 101788 votes
  • 1977 Lok Sabha Elections: In Sixth Lok Sabha poll, BLD candidate defated INC candidate in one-sided contest. Here, BLD candidate Ramji Lal Yadav attained 234151 votes and INC's Hari Prashad bagged 61673 votes.
  • 1971 Lok Sabha Elections: In Fifth Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate had defeated VHP candidate by a margin of 74137 votes INC candidate Hari Prasad had got 147519 while VHP got Kumar Sumitradevi votes.

  • 1951 Lok Sabha Elections: In India's Very First Lok Sabha Polls, Indian National Congress candidate had defeated KLP candidate by a margin of 69650 votes INC candidate Sobha Ram had got 112121 while KLP got P. D. Singania votes.
