SSC CGL 2017 Exam Paper Leak: On August 31 last year, the top court had stayed the declaration of result of the 2017 Staff Selection Commission exams which were marred by allegations of paper leak, saying it seemed that the entire test and system was "tainted".

SSC CGL 2017 Exam Paper Leak Case: In a relief to lakhs of students who appeared in the SSC combined graduate level and higher secondary level examinations in 2017, the Supreme Court on Thursday paved the way for declaration of results by vacating its stay on it. The apex court removed the stay order on SSC Combined Graduate Level (CGL) 2017 exam result yesterday and allowed SSC to declare the CGL examination result for recruitment in Central government. As per reports, a bench of Justice S.A. Bobde and S.A. Nazeer lifted its stay order on the SSC CGL 2017 exam result. The alleged paper leak of the 2017 SSC CGL exam compelled the top court to put a stay order on the results. SC also appointed a high power committee headed by former Supreme Court judge Justice (Retd) G.S. Singhvi to suggest steps to make conducting entrance exams for jobs and admission in educational institutions foolproof. The alleged leak of the 2017 SSC CGL question paper lead to protests from job seekers for several days. Later, the Central Bureau of Investigation launched a preliminary enquiry into the incident. All candidates who had sat for the SSC CGL and CHSL 2017 examination can soon check their results on the official website of SSC - www.ssc.nic.in. Meanwhile, the Commission has issued a notification for Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff Examination, 2019.
