Schools Reopening In These States Including Delhi From September 1

School Reopening Update: School and Colleges have been reopened in many states, as the nation witnesses a drop in COVID-19 cases.

School Reopening Update: The second wave of COVID-19 has been on the decline for a long time now. Since the situation is in control, schools and educational institutions in most states have been reopened with some restrictions for the students from senior classes. Schools are scheduled to reopen in many states from September 1. Let's have a look at the states where schools and colleges are scheduled to reopen.

1. Delhi: Schools in the national capital are planned to reopen in two phases. The Delhi government had recently made an announcement regarding the reopening of schools. Schools in Delhi will reopen for Classes 9th to 12th from Wednesday, September 1. At the same time, schools are scheduled to reopen from September 8 for the students of Classes 6th to 8th. As per the guidelines issued by the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), a maximum of 50 per cent attendance has been allowed in physical classes.

2. Tamil Nadu: On August 6, Tamil Nadu State Government had announced that physical lectures for Classes 9th to 12th will resume from September 1 with 50 per cent capacity.

3. Rajasthan: Private and government schools in Rajasthan are scheduled to reopen for the first time after April. In order to avoid the gathering of all the students at the same time, the schools have been instructed to keep separate arrival and departure times for students of different classes.

4. Madhya Pradesh: Schools would be reopening in Madhya Pradesh from September 1 for students of Classes 6th to 8th. At the same time, physical lectures for Classes 9th to 12th would be conducted as per usual. Physical lectures for students of Classes 11th and 12th have already resumed from July 26, while physical classes for Class 9th and 10th students have resumed from August 5.

5. Meghalaya: Physical lectures at all colleges along with physical lectures for Classes 9th to 12th have restarted in urban areas of Meghalaya from September 1. Physical lectures for Classes 6th to 12th are also planned to resume in rural areas.

6. Gujarat: Physical lectures for Classes 6th to 8th are scheduled to start in Gujarat from September 2. Physical lectures for senior classes have already resumed from July 26.
